We kicked off the Chan Luu pop up on Thursday, May 11th with all new pieces, back-in-stock fan favorites like Chan's floating pearl earrings as seen on Michelle Obama and Oprah's Favorite Things, as well as an exclusive Chan Luu for J. Landa stretchy bracelet.

Our Chan Luu Mother's Day Pop Up was a huge success with a packed house! It's only fitting that Chan's last event with us before her retirement was a celebration of her work and the mark she's left on all of us. Taking over as the new creative director of Chan Luu is Tessa Tran, a Los Angeles native who has been an integral part of the Chan Luu team.

We partnered with Dress For Success Houston for this event, with 10% of Thursday's sales and 10% of proceeds from our exclusive bracelet benefitting Houston women. If you don't know about Dress For Success, their mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to help women thrive in both work and life. Since 1998, Dress For Success Houston has provided services for more than 36,000 women in the Houston community. We're so happy to have been able to contribute to this excellent cause and as they say, one woman, one suit, one job can change the world!

No surprise to us, there was some incredible style on the women who made an appearance at our Thursday night event, with my personal favorite being those Red Hot Origami Platform Sandals perfected by Salvatore Ferragamo (bottom right).

Meredith - my main girl! Despite only knowing each other for two years, you've secured your spot as one of my best friends. I love every minute I spend with you, regardless of if we're at work, dancing the night away, or watching bad movies on pay-per-view with the dogs. Thank you for putting up with my shenanigans and for always being down to get into them with me. You have become such an important part of my life, and I can't wait until we start our hair metal cover band!

Daniel - though not technically a J. Landa employee, you totally count. We giggle together so easily and you light up every room you walk in. We are very similar souls, and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to know you!

Izy - my favorite teenager! Your optimism and love for life is infectious and you are such a lovely young lady with a good head on your shoulders. I can't wait to see what kind of woman you grow into, because the one I see right now is pretty incredible!

Jay - honestly, you are the best boss I've ever had. It has been an absolute pleasure working with and for you; I'm genuinely excited to come into work each morning, despite my tendency to be slightly to marginally late. You've made such a huge impact in my life, and I'm willing to bet Meredith and Izy would say the same. You are all of our biggest advocate, both professionally and personally, and it makes all the difference. You encourage us to be ourselves and have a habit of supporting our interests, goals, and dreams. Your advice is invaluable and always appreciated. While working for you I've watched myself grow into a person I love, a true #BadB, and you're a huge part of that. Thank you so much, Jay.
